STRATFORD, Conn. -- As Stratford turns a fresh eye to downtown and the idea of transit-oriented development, Mary Dean, executive director of the Stratford Chamber of Commerce, reflects on how her organization helps to boost businesses in town.
“First of all, we look at economic development and we work very closely with the economic development office,” she said in an interview with Daily Voice.
The chamber can help launch new businesses with events and public awareness and help existing businesses with zoning issues and other challenges. The Chamber also works with the town and local nonprofits to sponsor a slew of festivals that bring the community together throughout the year.
The Stratford Chamber of Commerce is part of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council.
