Fairfield's HMS Design Names 'Powerhouse' To Newly Created CEO Spot

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield firm HMSDesign has named Elle Morris to the newly created position as Chief Executive Officer.

In the role, Morris will partner closely with the firm’s founder, Hugh Montgomery to broaden the company’s portfolio of business and expand into the future.

She was recently President of the Americas for New York-based Elmwood Design, an international design consultancy company. There she led the firm’s North American new business endeavors, winning such clients as Lidl, SC Johnson, and Russell Hobbs. 

Morris has spent her entire career in creative and marketing services and is known in the industry as a powerhouse of design leadership by Procter & Gamble, Revlon, Colgate-Palmolive and Fashion Fair.

Her experience includes managing brand strategies for international category leading brands including Revlon, Gillette, Always, Clairol, Olay and Fashion Fair.

“Elle has a global perspective and has a proven track record in the industry. We believe she can further elevate our consumer driven design and will play a critical role in the future of our business”, said Montgomery.

Prior to Elmwood, Morris was Vice President and Managing Director of Key Global Accounts at LPK, an independent brand design agency. 

She is a frequent presenter at industry leading trade events such as HBA Global Expo, the Package Design Matters Conference-leading the Women as Leaders in Design and most recently, as a panelist at the Minorities in Design segment.

HMSDesign is a full-service design firm serving boutique brands, consumer packaged goods, and pharmaceutical companies. 

HMSDesign’s clients include Heineken USA, HPHood, Hampton Farms, Deep River Snacks, Bigelow Tea Company, and Sun Products.
