'Motherhood Out Loud' Wraps Up This Weekend At Square One In Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. — Limited seats are still available as the final performances wrap up the run of "Motherhood Out Loud" at Square One Theatre in Stratford.

"Motherhood" is a moving, hilarious and thrilling theatrical event that has waged a rousing three-week-long celebration for mothers worldwide. 

Directed by Tom Holehan, "Motherhood Out Loud" dares to tell the audience what they weren’t told in “What To Expect When You're Expecting.” 

Square One Theatre is now in residence at its new location on the stage of Stratford Academy at 719 Birdseye St. in Stratford. 

The cast includes two Square One Subscriber Award-Winning favorites Lucy Babbitt of Stratford and Lillian Garcia of Woodbridge plus two newcomers: Leigh Katz, of Westport and Kiel Stango of Waterbury. 

The final performances are: 

  • Friday, May 27, at 8 p.m.; 
  • Saturday, May 28 at 4 p.m. for a twilight matinee and at 8 p.m.; and 
  • Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m. for a matinee – and the final performance.

The stage at Stratford Academy is wheelchair/walker accessible. Please inform the box office of any special needs when reserving tickets.

As an added bonus, at noon Tuesday, June 7, the Friends of Square One Theatre invites audience members and the general public to "Play It Again, Square One" for a post-performance discussion of "Motherhood Out Loud" with the director and available cast members. 

The event will be in the Lovell Room of the Stratford Library at 2203 Main St. in Stratford. 

Free coffee, tea and bottled water will be available, participants may bring a sandwich.
