STRATFORD, Conn. -- The Stratford Library's "Monday Matinees" series continues its winter and spring film schedule with a screening of the light comedy "The Intern" on Monday, April 11.
The series presents recent, popular films monthly, on Monday afternoons at noon. The film showings are free and open to the public.
"The Intern" concerns 70-year-old widower Ben Whittaker, played by Robert De Niro, who has suddenly discovered that retirement isn't all it's cracked up to be. Seizing an opportunity to get back in the game, he becomes a senior intern at an online fashion site run by a young-enough-to-be-his-granddaughter boss, played by Anne Hathaway.
The comedy is rated PG-13 and runs 120 minutes.
Movies in the "Monday Matinees" series are shown uncut on widescreen in the Stratford Library's Lovell Room. The library is located at 2203 Main St.
