The Scoop: Ice cream here is a work of art at this one-year-old (plus) shop thanks to Owner Alyce Kallman who carries about 30 different flavors of ice cream from Gifford's in Maine.
Ice cream is hand scooped -- you'll also find crepes, baked goods and more -- but it's the freak shakes and sundaes -- mountains of ice cream mixed with an assortment of candy, sauces, ribbons, lollipops and even glitter, that will grab your attention.
Also big: Jumbo ice cream sandwiches made of chocolate chip cookies with large scoops of different ice cream flavors in the middle.
Think of it as go big or go home. At the very least, bring someone with you to share. There are 30-plus flavors and all kinds of combinations you can get.
Cream & Sugar also takes its involvement with the community to heart and has participated in a host of local charities and events. As it says on its website: "Cream & Sugar Café is more than just a place to drink coffee and eat ice cream and crepes. “We exist to provide a warm, clean, supportive (and yummy!) space in Bethel where creativity and community gather."
