So what’s a Jewish foodie to do?

Head to Westport’s Temple Israel June 11 for the first-ever Southern Connecticut Jewish Food Festival.

Sponsored by the Federation for Jewish Philanthropy of Upper Fairfield County, this day of mouthwatering foods and fascinating lectures and workshops will make you an expert on both the tastes and the values of the modern Jewish table.

But first, the food. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., sample delicacies from a dining plaza of kosher food trucks and pull up a chair for the keynote speaker, “The Gefilte Manifesto” author Jeffrey Yoskowitz, at 1 p.m.

Enjoy breakout sessions on food history and food justice with intriguing titles such as “What’s in Your Honey Bear?” and “Baking Babka to a Latin Beat.”

Temple Israel is located at 14 Coleytown Road, Westport.
