STRATFORD, Conn. — Chef Renata Papdopoulous officially opened her Lovely Cakes bakery in Stratford with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
State Rep. Laura Hoydick (R-Stratford) joined her for the event along with Dorothy Bratchell, chief operations officer of the Women’s Business Development Council.
The business also includes a rentable commercial kitchen.
Papadopoulos combines techniques from her Brazilian background with skills learned at the French Culinary Institute in creating her masterpieces.
She turns her clients’ concepts and dreams for cakes, cupcakes, and cake pops, into reality with buttercream and fondant art.
Mini-desserts and dressed-to-theme Dessert Tables can also be created.
Lovely Cakes has received Brides magazine’s America’s Most Beautiful Cake award, as well as WeddingWire’s Couples Choice Award and The Knot’s Best of Weddings Award.
Lovely Cakes is a custom cake studio that specializes in wedding cakes, groom's cakes, Bar and Bat Mitzvah cakes, and celebration cakes for all special events. Its serves all of Connecticut and beyond.
Lovely Cakes Studio is open by appointment only. It does not have a retail store or any pre-made cakes for sale. It is located at 195 Charles St., Stratford.
