Stratford Library Let's The Good Times Roll At Gala, Raises $15K

STRATFORD, Conn. — The Stratford Library raised nearly $15,000 at its Board of Trustees’ 13th annual "Let the Good Times Roll" benefit.

All proceeds will directly benefit the library's book collection. 

“Let the Good Times Roll" was a gala event featuring music from the band East Coast, and included hors d’ouevres, beverages, dinner and desserts for the more than 115 in attendance at the Oronogue Country Club.

A silent auction offered more than 40 prizes, including a Hawaiian vacation, a celebrity autographed "Star Wars" poster and several restaurant, spa and wine packages.

Sponsors included People's United Bank, Stratford Development Co., Aquarion Water Co., Berchem, Moses and Devlin, Joel F. Pleban CPA, Halper Keating Family Foundation, The Milford Bank, Connecticut Distributors Inc., Bridgeport Fittings, Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hubbell Water Heaters and Pistey Funeral Home.

Event co-chairpersons were Doreen Jaekle and Robyn Proto of Stratford with committee members Barbara Blosveren, James Connor, Jim Duffy, Tom Holehan, Deb Perman, Barb Poisson, Heather Silverman and Library Director Sheri Szymanski. 

The Honorary Chairmen for “Let the Good Times Roll” was Stratford Mayor John A. Harkins and Superintendent of Stratford Schools Janet Robinson.
