Triathletes To Hit Seaside Sprint To Benefit Bridgeport's Caroline House

Bridgeport, Conn. -- Trifitness of Fairfield the Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center will host the annual Seaside Sprint at Seaside Park in Bridgeport on June 11 to benefit Caroline House, a literacy education center in Bridgeport.

Trifitness of Fairfield and the Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center is hosting the Seaside Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon in support of Caroline House of Bridgeport

The event begins at 7 a.m. and includes a triathlon and duathlon. The triathlon includes a half-mile swim, a 10-mile bike ride and a 3.1-mile run. The duathlon for non-swimmers includes a 1.5-mile run, a 10-mile bike ride, and a 3.1-mile run. Beginners and seasoned athletes alike are invited to join the fastest and safest triathlon course in Connecticut, with a very flat course that is closed to traffic.

For more than 21 years, Caroline House has served low-income women and children through English as Second Language, life skills, citizenship, preschool and children's tutoring programs.

“Trifitness is a proud Caroline House supporter," said Trifitness owner Pascale Butcher. "We know that our contribution will make a difference in the lives of many women and children in Bridgeport."
