Bridge Reconstruction Under Way On Broadbridge Avenue In Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. -- The rebuilding of Broadbridge Avenue over Bruce Brook in Startford at a cost of $638,227 has begun, according to the Stratford Star.

Work has begun on the rebuilding of Broadbridge Avenue over Bruce Brook. The project should be complete by June.

The project, which is part of the city's plan to replace aging infrastructure, includes replacing one of two sections of the bridge, one that was built in the early 1900s and the other in 1981. Construction will take place in phases to help with traffic flow, said the Stratford Star.

During construction, traffic will be limited to one lane during the day (when needed), with two lanes being available after work hours, other times, two narrow lanes will be provided.
