The Roosevelt Forest Commission voted 9-1 on Wednesday to use 1.5 acres in the forest for the park, which be at the site of a former ranger station. The park will include the construction of a small parking lot. The Town Council is expected to vote on the Forest Commission's recommendation at a meeting on March 13. Approval is anticipated, according to the report.
