STRATFORD, Conn. -- Town of Stratford Public Safety, Health and Youth Services personnel participated in an Opioid Crisis Forum with Shelton and Monroe on Thursday, March 3.
Citizens from across Connecticut and New York attended the community discussion on the opioid addiction crisis spreading across the Nutmeg State.
The forum focused on identifying opportunities and solutions to managing the opioid crisis and featured testimonials from area residents in recovery.
Stratford panelists were EMS Administrator Kevin Giasullo, Dispatch Supervisor JP Sredzinski, Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour, Public Health Director Andrea Boissevain, Youth Services Bureau Tamara Trojanowski and Mayor John Harkins.
Other panelists included Commissioner Miriam Delphin – Rittmon – DMHAS, Shelton Police Captain Shawn Sequeria, and Jospeh Burnett- Griffin Hospital EMS Coordinator.The event was hosted by a group that included State Sen. Kevin Kelly (R-21), state Rep. Jason Perillo (R-113), State Rep. Laura Hoydick (R-120), State Rep. Ben McGorty (R-122), State Rep. J.P. Sredzinski (R-112), State Rep. Joseph Gresko (D-121), Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti, Startford Mayor John Harkins, and Monroe First Selectman Stephen Vavrek.
