STRATFORD, Conn. — With a winter storm expected to hit late tonight and drop up to a foot of snow by Thursday afternoon, the town of Stratford has issued an alternate side of the street parking ban.

The ban will be in effect for all of Stratford as of midnight.

Residents are asked to park only on the “odd-side" of the street to allow town crews to be able to clear the roads as the storm intensifies on Thursday.

Town of Stratford police will be enforcing the parking ban. Residents are asked to stay off the roads if at all possible during the storm.

Stratford schools will be closed on Thursday.
