Mazza was born in Bridgeport, on Oct. 6, 1959. He was a graduate of Stratford High School and was employed as a nuclear technician.
He was predeceased his son, Johnny; his brother John; and father John. He was killed in a motorcycle crash with his partner, Linda Mae Quiriconi Chizmadia.
He is survived by his mother; two children, Nichole Babcock and her husband Wes, and Frank Mazza; his granddaughter Bianca; two brothers and a sister; and four nieces and nephews, a great-niece and a great-nephew.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St., Stratford. A remembrance of his life will be held at 7 p.m. during visitation. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Lynch on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Church, 2070 Main St., Stratford. Interment will be private.
