2 Bridgeport Men Charged In Home Invasion In Stratford

STRATFORD, Conn. — Two Bridgeport men were charged with home invasion after they forced their way into an apartment in Stratford and robbed the occupants, according to the Connecticut Post.

Devere Torres, 18, and Shawn Hunter, 25, were each charged with home invasion and first-degree robbery, the Post said.

The incident occurred after 5 p.m. Thursday at an apartment on Stratford Avenue, police told the Post.

The victims opened their door after hearing a knock when two men rushed in, took about $150, credit cards and a cellphone and fled, The Connecticut Post said.

Investigating officers arrested the pair after a foot chase near the First Baptist Church, the Post said.
