At around 3:45 p.m., Milford Police were notified of a stolen car that had just been taken in Orange. Milford K-9 Officer Napoletano saw the car traveling south on I-95 at a high rate of speed, along with a separate vehicle that was following and weaving through traffic, police said.

Napoletano followed the cars from a distance and saw them get off I-95 at exit 32 in Stratford and enter the parking lot of Cumberland Farms. He activated his lights and sirens and made contact with the occupants of the cars.

After investigating, police arrested three juveniles and 18-year-old Ronny Aviles of Bridgeport. Police also learned that the second vehicle, which Aviles was located in, had been reported stolen out of Newington and contained a pellet gun, a ski mask and marijuana, according to police.

Aviles was charged with first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, weapons in a motor vehicle, and possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana. He was held on a $25,000 bond and went to court on Friday.
