David Haddon of Bridgeport, who was crossing Boston Avenue at Mill Hill Avenue when he was struck by a car, died later of his injuries, the Post said.
The driver did not stop after hitting Haddon, but a witness gave police a description of the vehicle and the license plate, the Connecticut Post said.
Police stopped the car after brief pursuit on I-95 and arrested Ayanna Woodward on the Exit 26 ramp, the Connecticut Post said.
She was charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle, evading responsibility, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, engaging police in pursuit and not having insurance, the Post said.
