MILFORD, Conn. — Police are looking to identify two suspects who attempted to rob the Sonic in Milford on Monday morning.

Two male suspects entered the restaurant at 1365 Boston Post Road at about 8:40 a.m., police said. One suspect placed an empty bag on the counter and told an employee to fill the bag with money, police said.

The employee then walked away from the register, and the suspects left the restaurant without any money and got into a dark-colored SUV, police said.

The suspects were described as two heavy-set black men. One was wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants with a red hat. The other man was wearing a black shirt, black jeans and a red hat.

Anyone with information that could help identify the suspects is asked to contact the Milford Police Department Detective Bureau at 203-877-1465 or Detective Sg. Jeff Cortes at 203-783-4761 or jcortes@ci.milford.ct.us.
