Gregg Gustafson, a 46-year-old Bridgeport resident, was suspended from his job teaching math at Stratford High School in March and resigned shortly afterwards, the Stratford Star reported.

According to the Stratford Star report, a parent had complained in February that Gustafson had wrestled with students at a private home.

School officials sidelined Gustafson saying that, while the incident did not appear to be sexual in nature, it still was wrong to be wrestling with students, the Stratford Star story said.

Gustafson has been charged with trying to bribe a witness to change his or her story, and with tampering with evidence, the Stratford Star reported.
