Fairfield Police: Banned Woman Found In Downtown Bookstore — Again

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Newtown woman who had been banned from the downtown Fairfield University Bookstore was arrested July 14 when she was found sitting in the store drinking a coffee, police said.

Megan Oddis-Switzer, 51, of Huntington Road, was charged with first-degree criminal trespass.

On Feb. 15, 2015, Oddis-Switzer was found on the the university’s North Benson Road campus and was warned not to return, police said. The following day, she was charged with breach of peace and first-degree criminal trespass when she was found at the Post Road bookstore creating a disturbance, police said.

Oddis-Switzer was released on a promise to appear in court on July 20 in connection with the 2017 incident, police said.
