At around 9:30 p.m., the delivery man was bringing a pizza to an address located in the Royce complex on Old Town Road. When he arrived at the complex, he was waved over to a group males, estimated to be between the ages of 16 and 20 years old, who were waiting for the delivery, police said.

When he reached the group, two of the guys left to get money and when they returned, they tackled the delivery man to the ground, where he was kicked and beaten, police said. During the assault, they stole his wallet out of his pants pocket, which contained about $60 in cash, a bank card and his Brazilian identification card.

The attackers then fled the scene on foot, leaving the victim on the ground. Trumbull Police Canine Officer Carlson and his dog Rico searched the area, but were unable to locate them, police said. The victim refused medical treatment at the scene.
