Officers were called at about 9:15 a.m. Saturday to the area of Howe Avenue and Roberts Street where the packages, which had been delivered and dropped off, were stolen, police said.

No further details were released on the two juvenile suspects.

Shelton police are reminding residents of these tips if they are having packages delivered:

  • Request delivery to the store itself and pick up the items there.
  • Have the package delivered to a work address or to the courier's pickup station rather than their home.
  • Schedule delivery for a day that they know they will be home — or a relative or friend will be home.
  • Require a signature upon receipt for deliveries.
