Police: Teenage Girl From Milford Has Been Found Safe

Update: Milford police said Tuesday that Sonye Collins, 17, had been found safe. She had been reported missing Monday after she had not been seen since Saturday.

Original story: MILFORD,  Conn. — Milford police are searching for a missing teenage girl who has not been seen since Saturday.

Sonye Collins, 17, was wearing a multi-colored top, blue jean shorts and sneakers when last seen, police said.

She is 5-foot-7, weighs 120 and is black with brown eyes and long black hair that is partially dyed purple, police said.

Collins is a habitual runaway with ties to Waterbury.
