The incident occurred at about 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, as the Milford Police Department's TAC Unit was conducting an anti-crime patrol in the parking lot of the Motel 6 at 111 Schoolhouse Road, police said.
Detectives were approached by a man and woman — identified later as Lester Morris and Anita Thompson — who offered to sell them drugs, police said.
As detectives approached their vehicle, Morris and Thompson fled the parking lot but were stopped on Schoolhouse Road near I-95, police said.
Detectives later recovered narcotics that had been thrown from the vehicle, police said.
Morris, 35, of 132 Oakley St., was charged with possession of narcotics, conspiracy to commit sale of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, interfering with arrest and violation of a protective order. Bond was set at $25,000 for a Dec. 8 court appearance.
Thompson, 30, of 467 Bird St., was charged with conspiracy to commit sale of narcotics and failure to obey officers signal. Bond was set at $10,000 for a Dec. 8 court appearance.
