Stratford Firefighters Battle Burning Tractor-Trailer Near Nichols School

STRATFORD, Conn. — Stratford firefighters were battling a tractor-trailer blaze late Thursday across the street from Nichols School, according to a Facebook post.

At about 8:30 p.m., the Stratford Fire Department had dispatched Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 4, Truck 1 and Car 3 to the scene of a fire at 475 Nichols Ave.

A Facebook asked that motorists and pedestrians avoid the area of the elementary school because of the tractor-trailer fire.
