Frank Anthony Sapienza, 19, of the Bronx, N.Y., was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault after a female victim reported that he had unwanted sexual contact with her, kissing and groping her at a party Saturday, police said.
She told him to stop multiple times, police said.
She contacted Sacred Heart University Public Safety to report the incident, and several witnesses backed up her account, police said.
Sapienza admitted to officers that he did not stop immediately after he was asked to do so by the victim, Fairfield police said.
After his arrest, Sapienza posted $1,000 bond for a court date of Nov. 9.
Police did not know whether the victim and suspect are students at the university.
