Woman Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car In Shelton

SHELTON, Conn. — A Naugatuck woman sustained serious injuries when she was struck by a car on Howe Avenue in Shelton Saturday night.

Shelton police received numerous 911 calls at around 9:33 p.m. regarding a pedestrian struck by a car in the area of 441 How Ave. Police, fire and EMS responded to the scene where 32-year-old Lisa Taylor had been struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Howe Avenue, according to police.

Taylor was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The Shelton Police Department accident reconstruction team responded to the scene and are currently investigating the incident, police said. Any witnesses or individuals with information regarding the accident can contact the Shelton Police Department Traffic Division at (203) 924-1544 ext. 4420.
