STRATFORD, Conn. — Republican Laura Hoydick said she will give up her seat in the House of Representatives if she is elected mayor of Stratford, according to the Connecticut Post.
Hoydick said she would also step down from her post of executive director of the Stratford Chamber of Commerce, a chapter of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council, the Post said.
She had not previously announced whether she would continue in those posts if elected, the Connecticut Post said.
Democrat Stephanie Philips and unaffiliated candidate Sandra Zalik are also running for mayor in Stratford.
Mayor John Harkins is not seeking re-election to a third four-year term.
