STRATFORD, Conn. -- Democrat Mark Juliano won a seat on the Stratford Zoning commission in a close special election Tuesday, according to the Stratford Star.

A recall will still be necessary because the difference is eight votes between Juliano and Zoning Commission incumbent Mike Henrick, according to the Stratford Star.

The vote count is 347-339, the Stratford Star reported.

Voters were in the 9th and 10th Council districts, according to the Stratford Star.
