STRATFORD, Conn. -- Democrat Mark Juliano won a seat on the Stratford Zoning commission in a close special election Tuesday, according to the Stratford Star.

A recall will still be necessary because the difference is eight votes between Juliano and Zoning Commission incumbent Mike Henrick, according to the Stratford Star.

The vote count is 347-339, the Stratford Star reported.

Voters were in the 9th and 10th Council districts, according to the Stratford Star.

The recount is necessary because the difference is under 20 votes, according to the Stratford Star.
