Stratford Resident Starts Recall Effort Against Town Council Chairwoman

STRATFORD, Conn. – A Stratford resident is spearheading a recall effort against Town Council chairwoman Beth Daporte, according to the Connecticut Post.

Mark Scheck, vice president of the Greater Bridgeport Property Owners Association, is leading the '#RecallBeth' movement on social media, the Connecticut Post said

His desire to recall Daporte stems from her flipping on promises and '[raising] all of our taxes,' reported the Connecticut Post

Scheck needs 450 signatures on a petition to force a recall, and said he has three candidates ready to run for Daporte's position, the Connecticut Post noted.
