STRATFORD, Conn. -- Classes were cancelled Wednesday at Stratford High School after portions of the building were still without power following a power outage on Tuesday, according to the Stratford Star.

The school's public works director told the Stratford Star that older parts of the system could not be re-set following the outage that was caused by a downed wire in the area of Main Street and Barnum Avenue on Tuesday. Although some parts of the building have power, school officials said they could not operate without full power, said the Stratford Star.

The school is looking for older replacement parts because the broken part of the system is so old that parts are no longer available in stores, the Stratford Star reported. Officials are not sure if parts will be found before Thursday, Feb. 25 in order for students to return, added the Stratford Star.
