Stratford Schools Dismissing Students Early On Tuesday Due To Heat

STRATFORD, Conn. — All students will be released on early dismissals Tuesday in the Stratford schools, according to a post at the district website.

Temperatures are soaring into the 90s today. 

The website post said that all Stratford schools will follow the "inclement weather early dismissal schedule."

Here is the schedule:

  • All elementary schools, except for Nichols and Wilcoxson, will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. 
  • Nichols and Wilcoxson schools as well as both Flood and Wooster middle schools will dismiss at noon. 
  • Stratford and Bunnell high schools and the ALPHA program will dismiss at 11:25 a.m.

All evening activities, including night school, have been canceled for Tuesday.
