BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Motorists will have to use a detour when Stratford Avenue in Bridgeport closes Wednesday, March 1 for a bridge inspection.

Stratford Avenue (Route 130) will close to traffic between Water Street and East Main Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. that day.

An attached map shows the detoured route. Weather could change or postpone the schedule. Drivers must travel at a safe speed in the area.

The bridge being inspected is the one that crosses over the Pequonnock River on Route 130.
