State DOT Closes Route 110 In Stratford For Bridge Project

STRATFORD, Conn. -- The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced the closure of Route 110 in Stratford from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday.

The impacted area of the Route 110 overnight closure is in the vicinity of Pumpkin Ground Brook.

The closure is to facilitate the installation of the precast deck unit as part of the ongoing rehabilitation of Bridge 02621 on Route 110 over Pumpkin Ground Brook. 

On Route 110 northbound, traffic will be detoured onto Cutspring Road, Chapel Street and onto Main Street until rejoining Route 110 near the intersection of Route 15. On Route 110 southbound, traffic will be detoured onto Main Street, Chapel Street and Cutspring Road until rejoining Route 110 south of East Main Street. 

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be used to guide motorists through the work zone.
