STRATFORD, Conn. -- Kids Day at the Stratford Farmers Market is arriving on Monday, Aug. 29, and it will feature an array of activities.
The free back-to-school event will include gardening activities, yoga demos, healthy cooking, touch-a-truck with the Stratford Fire Department, storytime with the Stratford Library, health and safety info, free giveaways and more.
Storytime will begin at 2:45 p.m. and yoga will begin at 3:15.

Kids Day at the Stratford Farmers Market is part of a larger initiative to increase access to healthy, locally-grown foods as a partner with Get Healthy CT. GHCT is a coalition of businesses and community organizations -- including Bridgeport Hospital, St. Vincent's Medical Center, local health departments and social service agencies -- collaborating to prevent and reduce obesity in the greater Bridgeport and New Haven regions.
