Person Who Went Missing Found Dead, CT State Police Say

A person who was reported missing on Wednesday has been found dead, according to the Connecticut State Police.

Cheshire Police responded around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a missing person in the area of Mixville Road by Marion Avenue, said the state police.

After an on-scene investigation, the missing person was located and determined to be dead, they added.

The identity of the person is currently being withheld, pending the notification of family members.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, the area of Marion Avenue will be closed off for an undetermined amount of time, state police said.

Connecticut State Police- Central District Major Crimes detectives have assumed the investigation and will be working in conjunction with the Cheshire Police Department.
