Kyle Damato-Kushel, who was dismissed from her job at Wooster Middle School, was charged with second-degree sexual assault, illegal sexual contact with a minor, interfering with an officer, fourth-degree sexual assault involving a victim who is a student and tampering with a witness, police told NBC Connecticut.
Stratford Superintendent Janet Robinson told NBC that the alleged incident took place off school grounds and that the Department of Children and Families substantiated the allegations.
Damato-Kushel turned herself in to Stratford police and was released after posting $50,000 bond, NBC said.
