Five Stratford Residents Displaced Following Fire On Barnum Avenue

STRATFORD, Conn. -- Stratford firefighters doused a fire at a Barnum Avenue building Tuesday that started on the ground floor of the three-story structure, according to the Connecticut Post.

Stratford firefighters were able to douse a fire on Barnum Avenue early April 5 shortly after arriving.

Firefighters arrived at the home at 2074 Barnum Ave. around 8:30 p.m. to find a fire on the first-floor of the building, the Connecticut Post reported. They were able to extinguish the fire within 10 minutes after arriving, according to the Connecticut Post. The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, said the Connecticut Post.

Fire department officials said five people were left homeless by the blaze and is asking the Red Cross for help, said the Connecticut Post.
