STRATFORD, Conn. – A 49-year-old man found lying in the road on Main Street early Saturday died as a result of injuries in a motorcycle crash, Stratford police said in a statement.
Stratford officers investigated the motorcycle accident, which occurred on Main Street near Freeman Avenue at about 2 a.m., police said.
Upon arrival, officers found the motorcycle operator, Dominick Ferranti, unresponsive and lying in the roadway, police said.
Ferranti was traveling north on Main Street at the time of the accident, police said.
He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
At this time, the accident appears to have involved only the one motorcycle, but it remains under investigation, police said.
