Members of the Westport Police Department were dispatched to an area home at approximately 8 p.m. on Halloween night, where there were complaints about two people arguing loudly outside.

Officers arrived at the scene and determined that Stratford resident Tariq West had gotten into a dispute with his victim, during which he cut the victim’s mattress in several places.

West was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief at Westport Police Headquarters. West was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Court this week to respond to the charges.
