STRATFORD, Conn. -- Someone threatened a store clerk with a rifle during a robbery at the 24/7 Express on Barnum Avenue early Friday morning, according to the Connecticut Post.

Police told the Connecticut Post that the rifle had a large scope on it. The robber pointed it at the store clerk and threatened to shoot if he didn't turn over money, the Connecticut Post reported. The clerk then gave $200 to the robber, who fled across Barnum Avenue to Broadridge Avenue, according to the Connecticut Post.

Police searched the area with the department K-9, and found a .22 caliber rifle, a $10 bill and a pair of sunglasses, according to the Connecticut Post. The robber was described as wearing a black ski mask, white pants and black gloves, according to the Connecticut Post.
