STRATFORD, Conn. -- An 11-year-old Stratford girl helped police catch a burglary suspect last week by drawing a picture of the man, according to NBC Connecticut .

Rebecca DePietro is being honored by police for drawing a picture of a man who knocked on her family's door a few months ago, said NBC Connecticut.

Saying she just drew a picture of a head and some legs, DePietro was surprised police could match up her drawing with a suspect, reported NBC Connecticut.

The man police arrested has since confessed to 10 burglaries in the area, said NBC Connecticut.
