STRATFORD, Conn. — Stratford police are warning residents of a spree of car break-ins and attempts over the past few weeks in the Lordship neighborhood.

"Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity or persons," Stratford police said on Twitter and in a statement Wednesday. "Keep cars locked and secure valuables."

The targeted streets include Pauline Street, Ash Street and Prospect Drive. The incidents occurred between 3 and 4 a.m., police said.

The non-emergency number for the police department is 203-385-4100.

"A reminder to all residents to lock their vehicles and do not leave valuables in their cars while they are parked and unattended," Stratford police Capt. Frank Eannotti said a statement.
