A local realtor has been arrested on a warrant for stealing items from a home during an open house.

Darcy Allison Sledge, 60, of Westport, turned herself in to New Canaan Police on Thursday, Nov. 1, following an investigation of thefts of items from a home during an open house in New Canaan, said Lt. Jason Ferraro.

The incident took place on July 26 when Sledge was captured on video surveillance from inside the home taking items from a bedroom of the residence, Ferraro added.

The items were later determined to be Euro currency with an approximate value of $136.

Sledge was charged with larceny and released on a promise to appear ticket. She is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 12.
