Stratford PAL Athletes Hit The Target, Named To All-State Rifle Team

STRATFORD, Conn. -- The Connecticut State Rifle and Revolver Association 

Nine members of the Stratford PAL Junior Rifle Club are named as Connecticut All-State Athletes.

recognized nine members of the Stratford Police Athletic League Junior Rifle Club at a recent banquet in Wallingford. 

These nine shooters were named as Connecticut All-State Athletes in either the Sub-Junior Category for under age 14 or Junior Category for 14 to 18 year olds. 

Each of these young athletes was selected based upon their superior scores and league averages over the 2015-16 season. 

Hope Kavulich, who also competes for the Bunnell High School Rifle Team, was also recognized as the top High School competition shooter for the year. 

The Connecticut State Rifle and Revolver Association was formed in 1927 with the objectives of promoting education and training for citizens of good repute in the safe handling of firearms and to encourage the lawful ownership of firearms for sport and recreation.
